ABOUT US

Fire Training Bucks and Mk Ltd were set up in September 2014 when Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service transferred all commercial training to a private company established by 2 of its former employees.

This exciting opportunity enabled the ICTU to "spin out" from the fire and rescue service and be delivered through a new company owned and operated by the two employees who have been employed in the running of the commercial training unit for the previous 16 years.

The Head of Operational Training, said: “This opportunity had been possible due to the positive engagement and consultation with our employees once it had been decided to stop providing industrial and commercial training in-house. We listened to our employees and worked with them to create this exciting opportunity.

"If any employees come forward with ideas for how parts of our service can be operated more effectively and provide better value for money or improved service to the public of Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, we are keen to listen.

"The new business will continue to deliver the same high quality training to existing customers and has the full backing and support of Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service."

It is believed that Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service was the first service in the country to “spin out” part of its service to its employees using powers under the Localism Act 2011 and the Community Right to Challenge (Fire and Rescue Authorities and Rejection of Expressions of Interest) (England) Regulations 2012.

Fire Safety Training: Protecting Lives, Assets, and Peace of Mind

In a world where safety is paramount, organizations cannot afford to overlook the critical importance of fire safety training. Fires can strike without warning, causing devastating consequences to lives, properties, and businesses. That's why investing in comprehensive fire safety training is not just a legal requirement, but a moral obligation. At Fire Training Bucks & MK Ltd, we understand the significance of proactive fire safety measures, and we are here to help you prioritize the safety of your personnel, safeguard your assets, and ensure peace of mind.

The Importance of Fire Safety Training:

Protect Lives: Fire emergencies can escalate rapidly, endangering the lives of everyone within a building or facility. Fire safety training equips individuals with the knowledge and skills to prevent fires, recognize potential hazards, and respond effectively in emergency situations. By investing in fire safety training, you demonstrate your commitment to the well-being and safety of your employees, customers, and visitors.

Minimize Property Damage: Fires can wreak havoc on physical assets, leading to significant financial losses and business disruptions. Through proper fire safety training, your workforce will gain insights into fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and effective use of fire extinguishers. By understanding how to mitigate risks and respond swiftly, your employees can help minimize property damage and potentially save valuable resources.

Legal Compliance: Complying with fire safety regulations is not just a legal obligation; it is also crucial for the reputation and credibility of your organization. Failure to meet fire safety standards can result in severe penalties, legal liabilities, and even business closure. Fire safety training ensures that your organization adheres to fire legislation, safety guidelines, and statutory requirements, enabling you to operate without unnecessary risks or legal entanglements.

Boost Employee Confidence: A well-trained workforce is a confident workforce. By providing comprehensive fire safety training, you empower your employees to feel prepared and capable in the face of a fire emergency. This confidence fosters a sense of security and trust among your staff, enhancing overall morale and productivity. Moreover, trained employees become proactive fire safety advocates, promoting a culture of vigilance and prevention within your organization.

Emergency Preparedness: Fires can strike at any time, and being prepared is the key to effectively managing such crises. Fire safety training equips individuals with essential skills like fire prevention, evacuation protocols and hazard identification. This preparedness not only applies to fires but also extends to other emergency situations, such as chemical spills or natural disasters. By investing in fire safety training, you empower your workforce to respond calmly and effectively during any emergency scenario.
